Hair loss research has turned to internet and more patients are using the internet to search for hair loss questions and answers. For this reason, using proper search strategies and knowing where to look for information has also become an important factor when searching for hair transplant questions online. I have written a short review of some of the best hair transplant communities for hair loss and hair transplantation. Some general factors include the reputation of the community, transparency, participation of the members, recognition by doctors, and content.
The Bald Truth Talk
ThebaldTruthtalk, run by spex (Spencer Kobren), a popular figure in the hair transplant industry and founder of the American Hair Loss Association, is one of the most comprehensive hair transplant communities in the world. the forum has been up for few years and has many active members. Hair transplant doctors are also available to comment and reply to inquiries. There is also a section for hair transplant before after photos, Pre-ops, and post-ops. I have found tons of useful information shared by the members and discussion of recent updates in the industry. I personally enjoy browsing the forum and appreciate the open discussion in the forums.
Hair loss Help
Hair loss Help is another great discussion board for hair loss and hair transplant issues. There are many active members in the forums and its not hard find news about the recent discoveries in the hair transplant industry. It also includes a section where doctors and patient can discuss their cases and transplant consultants can give their recommendations. There is also discussion about other hair loss industry topics, such as hair cloning, hair loss drugs, etc.
Bellicapelli Forum
http://bellicapelli.forumfree.it
Bellicapelli is one of the most popular hair transplant discussion boards in Europe. The forum has been up for many years now and has over 18,000 members. As I understand its one of the most popular forums for hair loss in Italy.
Hair loss Talk
Another great hair loss community for research and discussing your hair loss. the focus of the forum is on preventing and controlling hair loss using non surgical means, like wigs and hair systems. I haven’t looked into other parts of this forum but as I understand there is strict policy against sharing links to hair transplant websites and clinic representatives are not allowed in the forum. There is also a shop section where members can order their medications.
